CLR (Cell Loss Ratio) - an explanation

Negotiated QoS parameter with network-specific acceptable values. Used to minimize CLR, provided end-system adapts traffic to changing ATM layer transfer characteristics. Defined for connection as: Lost Cells/Total Transmitted Cells, where CLR parameter is value of CLR network agrees to offer as objective over lifetime of connection. Expressed as order of magnitude, with range of 10-1 to 10-15 and unspecified.
